No shaving today, if you haven't figured out yet this blog is going to be about my life surrounding my shaving habits and techniques. I want to share what I have learned both in the forums and in personal experience. I found a lot of information but sometimes it was confusing or hard to follow. Hopefully I can fix some of the questions and I will add a place for people to post questions or their own techniques.
Face feels a little tender today; I shaved with my straight razor on the 25th. I used my Dovo 25 5831, 5/8 ebony handle. It’s the second straight razor I bought and I believe it’s made for barbers to shave other people. The blade comes to sharp 90°point on the outer end, not the best for the curves of a face but great for precision. It’s a difficult blade to shave with, and seeing as I haven't used a straight razor in about a year I was out of practice. Due to the tenderness, I took it easy on my face while showering by not using a loofah, just my hands and some Axe body wash. I ended up washing it twice because I spent the better part of yesterday under my buddies F-350 trying to help him fix his fuel pump.
